We are seeking a skilled Metal Framer to join our team at PR General Contractors Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervising other workers
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Installing metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
