JobContax is enhancing its Process Design division and is in search of a Lead Process Engineering Manager to oversee and guide projects from their Dublin office. This pivotal position is essential for the organization.

As the Lead Process Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for directing and managing various phases of projects from initial concept through to detailed design, primarily within the Biopharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical sectors. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  1. Directing multiple phases of projects from concept through to detailed design.
  2. Providing support and mentorship to team members.
  3. Managing a diverse team of Process Engineers, from entry-level to senior professionals.
  4. Conducting performance evaluations and overseeing key performance indicators.
  5. Managing project resources and continuous professional development for team members.
  6. Coordinating the Process Design Team to ensure project deliverables and design optimization are met.
  7. Delivering the agreed design scope within allocated budget and timeline.
  8. Designing and specifying equipment and systems in accordance with current regulations and design standards.
  9. Selecting and liaising with suppliers for both standard and customized equipment.
  10. Preparing tender packages for process equipment.
  11. Assessing tender bids from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  12. Providing technical insights for project proposals and for the Process Design Team.
  13. Developing process solutions for new product introductions and new projects.
  14. Being accountable for all project process deliverables.
  15. Conducting process calculations, including hydraulic calculations and sizing of relief devices.
  16. Interfacing with client design teams and end users.
  17. Leading technical and safety reviews.
  18. Designing processes and utilities, including the preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing calculations.
  19. Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), P&IDs, and other project-related documentation.
  20. Ensuring design compliance with all relevant codes, standards, policies, and guidelines.
  21. Coordinating design efforts with other disciplines and equipment suppliers.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. Hons. or higher) in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Bio/Pharma/API Design.
  3. Familiarity with process safety engineering and management.
  4. Previous involvement in HAZOPs and Design Risk Assessments.
  5. Extensive design experience within the Life Sciences industry.
  6. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  7. Demonstrated capability to successfully manage project delivery in a client-facing role on Equipment, Facility, and Utility design projects.
  8. Proven leadership skills in managing a team of process engineers.
  9. Dynamic and energetic with strong people management, interpersonal, and communication skills suitable for a project delivery environment.
  10. Demonstrated experience in project management, overseeing projects from inception to completion.
