About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Management Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the management and execution of our capital management framework and related strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capital Planning and Management: Develop and implement capital planning and management strategies to ensure compliance and optimize the efficiency of capital resources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on capital planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor the external market to understand best practices and recommend adoption within BMO.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align agendas and ensure a clear understanding of the business context.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze data and information to provide capital management insights and recommendations.
  • Reporting and Dashboarding: Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Typically between 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, capital markets, or treasury.
  • Education: MBA Finance, CA, CFA, CGA, CMA, or equivalent.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial modeling, regulatory capital management concepts, and capital markets business.
  • Communication: Verbal and written communication skills, collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence skills, and data-driven decision-making skills.
