Resident Attendant Job Description

As a Resident Attendant at Aspira Riverbend Crossing Memory Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous service and addressing their needs in a timely manner.
  • Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment, including transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
  • Perform laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.
  • Deal tactfully and courteously with residents, their families, and report any concerns or complaints to the team leader.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate.
