The Opportunity

As a key member of the Canada Impact team, you will work closely with communications, government, and public affairs specialists to shape and govern internal communications programs for Canadian employees and external campaigns that build the McDonald's brand reputation with Canadians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to drive awareness and pride across the McDonald's Canada system.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute internal communications programs.
  • Manage and oversee the development of compelling written and visual content for internal and external audiences.
  • Assess the effectiveness of communications plans through monitoring and analysis of performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
  • Plan and execute special events to connect internal audiences to the company's priorities and purpose.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or postgraduate certificate in a communications-related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate communications.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • A team player with a desire to collaborate as part of an integrated team.

Nice to Haves

  • Ability to read and write in French.
  • Experience developing video content for internal and external channels.
  • Experience with email management systems and intranet content management systems.
  • Basic HTML skills and experience with creating graphics through Canva.
