About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team at Safeway Travel Services. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Management: Receive and register documents for data entry, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored.
  • Data Entry: Enter data according to specified formats, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Data Transfer: Transfer data between software systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal errors.
  • Data Verification: Verify the accuracy and completeness of data, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
  • Database Management: Store, update, and maintain databases, ensuring data is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Backup Procedures: Perform regular backup procedures to ensure data preservation and minimize the risk of data loss.
  • Office Support: Perform general office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails (note: this is not a customer-facing role).
  • Media Management: Classify, label, and store diskettes, disks, and tapes of data, ensuring they are properly organized and easily accessible.
  • Document Scanning: Create digital records using a scanner, ensuring accurate and high-quality scans.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Data Conversion: Transfer handwritten data to Excel or Word documents, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced office environment, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a data entry or administrative role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
