Family Lawyer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of family law matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including pleadings, financial disclosures, and mediation briefs.
  • Prepare for and participate in evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials, including witness questioning and trial briefs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Track billable time and assist supervising lawyers in all phases of the practice.
Qualifications:
  • Admission to the Alberta bar.
  • 2-3+ years of experience practicing family law.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • A empathetic and level-headed demeanor to handle sensitive family law matters.
