We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Design Engineer to join our team at Lightmatter, where you will play a key role in developing advanced ASICs for next-generation artificial intelligence computing architectures.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop microarchitecture for advanced ML/AI accelerator ASICs/SoCs, including memory systems and high-performance networks.
- Integrate silicon photonic communication and compute technology into digital accelerator design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to realize high-performance, low-power designs in advanced technology nodes.
- Develop design specifications and documentation to facilitate collaboration with partner teams.
- Manage RTL implementation to achieve functionally correct, performant designs within project schedules.
- 8+ years of experience in ASIC design with multiple successful tape outs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related fields) or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Familiarity with high-speed digital design techniques and power-efficient design techniques.
- Experience in communication protocols (e.g. PCIe) and interfacing with memory systems (e.g. HBM/DDR5).
- Knowledge of processor design, accelerators, and/or memory hierarchies.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
