Ethnic Food Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Wild Orchid Bistro and Sushi Lounge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our menu standards and quality control procedures.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.
- Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring timely setup, service, and breakdown.
- Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Japanese cuisine, with a focus on traditional and modern dishes.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and lead staff.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
