About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre LTD. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as emptying trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform safety and security checks, and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures.
  • Supervise other workers and perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work with minimal supervision and perform shift or on-call work as required.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and relocate as required.
  • Willingness to work in a commercial building, hotel, motel, resort, or landscape maintenance setting.
