We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre LTD. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and replacements of equipment and fixtures
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, sweepers, and other equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Supervise other workers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks and projects
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
  • Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures
  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance work
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Commercial building experience
  • Hotel, motel, resort experience
  • Landscape maintenance experience
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests
