Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day supply management operations and have full managerial responsibilities for direct reports, including the Contracts Manager, Senior Procurement Advisor, and Purchasing Officers.
  • Lead the development and implementation of best practice supply management processes, programs, policies, and systems that support the fulfillment of procurement requirements across the University.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to measure supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures related to procurement and supply chain management.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certification or designation from a recognized Supply Management/Procurement organization such as Supply Chain Management Association of Canada or Canadian Association of Logistics Management.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of directly related public procurement experience, preferably in a higher education setting, including one (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferably at the management level.
