Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at the Wooden Nickel Saloon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Responsibilities:- Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
- Scour pots and pans, and clean and sanitize kitchen equipment.
- Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for service.
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning products.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
- Physically demanding work environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Reliability, team player, and ability to multitask.
- Positive attitude and dependability.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
