Senior Cost Analysis Specialist

The Senior Analyst of Cost Analysis & Reporting plays a pivotal role in aligning the organization's operational strategies with its financial goals. This position is essential for ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet business priorities. Key responsibilities include assisting in the deployment of enterprise-wide key performance indicators related to specific cost categories, supporting the execution of departmental financial plans and forecasts, and independently managing month-end financial closing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reporting and analysis to support internal reporting for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with Total Fund Management to refine cost models and analyses.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes and reporting, proactively identifying opportunities for enhancements and automation.
- Address inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Investigate reporting discrepancies thoroughly and determine appropriate actions in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational vision and goals.
- Develop, update, and maintain cost trends analysis and dashboards utilizing various data sources and business intelligence tools (e.g., Oracle Financials, SQL).
- Contribute to system upgrades by providing input on requirements and coordinating user acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in Business with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
- 3-4 years of demonstrated experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in automation tools and data manipulation software (e.g., Power BI, Python, SQL).
- Exemplify the guiding principles of integrity, partnership, and high performance.
- Show curiosity in understanding business processes and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
- Apply critical thinking to resolve operational challenges and escalate emerging risks to leadership.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with senior leadership and all management levels.
