About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist - Estimating and Cost Control to join our Project Controls team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining budgeting and cost control processes and procedures for our Base Metals projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost control and estimating processes and procedures for our Base Metals projects.
  • Provide training and support to project management teams and stakeholders on cost control and estimating best practices.
  • Manage multi-annual capital budgeting and performance management for our Base Metals projects.
  • Lead technical planning and CapEx analysis for our Base Metals projects, identifying potential gaps and deviation trends.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and project stakeholders on cost control and estimating performance.
  • Evaluate and implement automated systems and tools to improve cost control and estimating processes.
  • Support project risk analyses and contribute to the improvement of other disciplines in the Project Controls area.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in project controls, preferably in large-scale companies.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost control and estimating in capital projects.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management and technical audit of projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently as needed.
