Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Care Assistant to support our team at Dr. Chanh Ngo Optometrist. This role is essential in providing quality care to our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Asset Languages: Proficiency in Vietnamese is an asset.
Work Environment
  • Office of a health care professional
  • Ophthalmic or optical laboratory
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tests utilizing specialized equipment, guide patients through testing procedures, document results, and ensure proper functioning of auditory equipment.
  • Assist health care professionals in delivering patient care.
  • Maintain and sanitize equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare and organize necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
  • Operate sterilization equipment and adhere to safety protocols for re-use.
  • Document the progress of patient rehabilitation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of collection areas.
  • Gather comprehensive medical and ophthalmic histories from patients.
Safety and Security
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check is required.
