Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Dean Wood Construction Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.)
