About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at SG MANN CONSTRUCTION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week
