About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer-II, Geospatial to join our Address Intelligence and Experience (AIX) team. As part of Amazon Last Mile Technology, our team is responsible for ensuring best-in-class delivery experience for customers who shop on Amazon.

The AIX team focuses on building comprehensive address data for regions and developing sophisticated ML-based software that recognizes and validates customer addresses. We learn from historical data and crowd-sourced intelligence to achieve this worldwide.

In this role, you will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on complex technology problems. You will drive system architecture, lead the development and launch of core product features, and explore full stack development to build customer-facing experiences on the retail website.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive system architecture and lead the development and launch of core product features
  2. Explore full stack development to build customer-facing experiences on the retail website
  3. Provide technical leadership to the team and drive best practices
  4. Mentor other engineers and drive continuous improvements in engineering and operational excellence
Requirements
  1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  4. 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  5. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
