POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager of Technology Solutions
REPORTS TO: Director of Information Technology
LOCATION: Toronto Head Office (in-office)
BAND LEVEL: L6
Role Summary:
Techtronic Industries Canada Inc. stands as a premier entity in the design, production, and marketing of power tools, outdoor power equipment, and floorcare products, alongside hand tools and accessories. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Technology Solutions will serve as the primary liaison for all technology services that empower business operations across TTI Canada's various divisions. This position is crucial for the collection, prioritization, reporting, and execution of technology initiatives aimed at enhancing business performance. Additionally, this leader will focus on the ongoing enhancement and delivery of user technologies and processes across all operational sites.
The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional project management capabilities, strong analytical skills to visualize key performance indicators, and the ability to connect technology initiatives with business results. Leadership skills to mentor and develop junior team members will also be essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with key business stakeholders to effectively leverage technology solutions for achieving business objectives.
- Organizing and managing the current pipeline of business and technology projects.
- Continuously refining the initiative backlog to align with high-value business goals.
- Developing and overseeing detailed technical and project implementation plans.
- Reporting on significant initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining regular communication with functional leaders to understand their needs and deliver innovative technology solutions.
- Enhancing the current technology capacity plan to clearly communicate IT priorities and coordinate project delivery.
- Organizing and publishing existing dashboards while creating new KPIs to effectively communicate technology delivery status.
- Measuring and assessing the value of outcomes from the initiative pipeline.
- Supporting IT strategy by executing defined priorities across the five IT pillars with a focus on business enablement.
- Evaluating existing business applications to identify opportunities for optimization and standardization.
- Collaborating with TTI teams across North America and globally to achieve synergies in technology and business outcomes.
- Developing the skills and capabilities of IT team members involved in technology processes and delivery.
- Travel may be necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in program management that delivers significant business value.
- Strong change management abilities to influence and demonstrate value across IT and business sectors; ITIL Change Management certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to balance project demands with operational requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into understandable business solutions.
- Experience with end-user technologies to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) including the ability to create visualizations for project health and KPIs.
- Relevant certifications in Project/Program Management such as PMP or PgMP.
- Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project and Jira is preferred.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as MS Power BI and MS PowerPoint is preferred.
- Knowledge of Service Management tools like ServiceNow is preferred.
- Experience in implementing new tools and methodologies to enhance IT and business effectiveness.
- Strong process-oriented mindset with knowledge of ITIL processes or Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.
