About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at SKYLINE WELDING & FABRICATION LTD. as a key member of our fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality results.
  • Operate and maintain manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, as well as fully automated systems.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to precision-cut metal components.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques.
  • Determine the weldability of materials and select the most suitable welding process.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical demand.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work Environment

Our fabrication department operates in a commercial setting, with a focus on custom fabrication and truck repair. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical demand.

Language and Work Hours

The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week in a permanent position, with English as the primary language of communication.
