About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Optical Technician to join our team at Akal Optical (Milton) Ltd. as an Equipment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating various medical equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition and meets the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment, including sterilization equipment and instrumentation, to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage supplies, including inventory of equipment and materials.
  • Office Administration: Perform general clerical duties, including processing files and paperwork, and scheduling appointments.
  • Patient Care: Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including following through on treatment programs and maintaining prescription records.
  • Work Environment: Work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
