Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Optical Technician to join our team at Akal Optical (Milton) Ltd. The successful candidate will assist healthcare professionals in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals in patient care and treatment programs
  • Maintain accurate prescription records and inventory of equipment
  • Clean and maintain medical equipment according to standardized safety practices
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform general clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and managing office functions
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

This is a permanent, 30-hour per week position with a focus on providing excellent patient care and support to our healthcare team.
