Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Optical Technician to join our team at Akal Optical (Milton) Ltd. The successful candidate will assist healthcare professionals, maintain prescription records, and perform various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prescription records
  • Perform general clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and managing office supplies
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for medical procedures
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation according to standardized safety practices
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Process files and paperwork, including patient records and insurance claims
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception and telephone duties
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Setting

This role will be based in a hospital/medical facility or clinic, working closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
