Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to:
  • Inspecting and lubricating fan bearings
  • Checking and tightening all screws, bolts, nuts, and flare nuts
  • Inspecting electrical connections and contactors
  • Lubricating and adjusting associated dampers and linkage
  • Inspecting for refrigerant leaks and repairing as required
  • Checking and cleaning fan assemblies
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, glycol)
  • Checking compressor oil level, acid test, and hermetic motors
  • Changing oil and refrigerant filter dryers as required
  • Adding refrigerant as necessary and locating and repairing leaks
  • Inspecting electrical connections, contractors, relays, and operating safety controls
  • Checking and operating compressor unloaders
  • Checking operating conditions and adjusting as required
  • Inspecting all refrigerant pressure capillary and small bore tubing for vibration and rubbing/chafing
  • Checking all expansion valves for proper superheat
  • Scheduling and managing contractors completing services and repairs
  • Required to work plant shut downs
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting heating systems (boilers, direct fired units, domestic hot water tanks)
  • Replacing belts and filters on all HVACs and exhaust fans
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
Requirements
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic 313A skilled trades certificate
  • G1 Gas Technician License
  • ODP Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate
  • Direct fire burner experience is preferred
  • 5 years industrial experience is preferred
