Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead and ensure the sustainability of the Logistics and Transportation Metropolitan Cluster of Montreal under the direction of the Board of Directors.
Main Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and recommend a comprehensive strategic plan for the Cluster, aligning with the Board's objectives and ensuring the Cluster's growth and competitiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate collaboration among key players in the logistics and transportation sector, fostering a cohesive and innovative environment.
- Partnerships and Networking: Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders in economic development, government, and private enterprise, promoting the Cluster's interests and Montreal's intermodality.
- Communication and Representation: Represent the Cluster in dealings with government authorities, ensuring effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Funding and Financial Management: Ensure the Cluster's funding and sound financial management, monitoring budgets and financial statements.
- Project Management: Oversee the implementation of projects outlined in the business plan, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Cluster's permanent staff, including project managers and an executive assistant, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Education: University degree in a relevant discipline, such as business administration, logistics, or transportation management.
- Experience: Three to five years of experience in an executive director role, with prior experience working with a Board of Directors considered an asset.
- Skills: Proven verbal and written communication skills, ability to represent and negotiate with various bodies, leadership and team management skills, adaptability, and a high degree of professional autonomy.
