Ramp Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ramp Services Coordinator to join our team at Swissport. As a key member of our ground support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our ramp services.
Key Responsibilities- Marshall Aircraft: Safely guide aircraft during arrival and departure, ensuring the efficient movement of planes on the ground.
- Unload and Load Cargo: Expertly unload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and/or containers/pallets, onto carts and/or dollies, and load them onto aircraft.
- Provide Special Handling: Offer specialized luggage/cargo handling services as required or directed by customers.
- Deliver Luggage and Cargo: Safely transport passenger luggage to the claim area and unload it onto the conveyor system, and deliver air cargo to the appropriate recipient.
- Operate Ground Support Equipment: Drive and/or operate various ground support equipment, including tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container loaders, baggage tugs, water/lavatory service trucks, aircraft ground power units, aircraft air start units, air stairs, aircraft de-icing units, baggage carts, cargo dollies, and passenger vans.
- Inspect Ramp Areas: Regularly inspect ramp areas adjacent to gates and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of any found.
- Report Equipment Malfunctions: Promptly report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
- Comply with Regulations: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
- Previous Ramp Experience: Previous experience in ramp services is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
- Good Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Inclement Weather: Be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Flexible Scheduling: Be flexible to work on various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Possess excellent Health and Safety awareness.
- Lifting Heavy Objects: Be able to lift heavy objects that could reach 70 pounds (32 kilograms).
