Position Title: Unregulated Care Provider
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
Shift Availability: Night Shifts, Days/Evenings
About the Organization:
Tri-County Mennonite Homes operates Greenwood Court, a dedicated 'Community of Care' that allows seniors to age comfortably in their own environment. Our mission is to provide a supportive atmosphere where residents can maintain their independence while receiving the necessary care and services tailored to their evolving needs.
Role Overview:
The Unregulated Care Provider plays a crucial role within the Nursing team, focusing on the essential care and support of residents. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering basic care and assistance to residents.
- Implementing specific interventions as outlined in individual care plans.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in residents' physical and emotional health.
Compensation:
Hourly wage of $21.03.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A strong foundation in person-centered care practices, aligned with the Retirement Homes Act.
- Experience in medication administration is preferred, with training provided.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- An understanding of the Residents' Bill of Rights, with a focus on respecting and promoting these rights.
Skills and Abilities:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for working with seniors.
- The physical capability to perform essential tasks, including lifting and transferring residents.
- Adherence to clinical infection control protocols.
- The ability to manage responsive behaviors effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Additional Information:
