About the Role

Wood's Homes is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Youth and Family Counsellor to join our Cottage 1 Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to children, youth, and families in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote personal and social growth for each client.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff to operationalize a therapeutic milieu for clients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Management Systems and Licensing Department requirements.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or related field.
  • Four years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a residential setting.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
