Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 1490386 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our restaurant operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restaurant Operations Management
    • Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless restaurant operations.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Staff Supervision and Development
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring accurate inventory management.
    • Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, and sales to optimize restaurant operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service management or a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
    • Physically demanding with attention to detail required.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
    • Team player with initiative and dependability.
