We are seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to join Strathcona Long Term Care as a Nursing Care Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. While experience is an asset, it is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate personal care and support to patients
  • Assist with daily tasks related to patient care and comfort, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Ensure patients' rooms are clean and well-maintained, promoting a safe and healthy environment
  • Supervise and assist with patients' exercise routines, encouraging physical activity and mobility
  • Respond to call signals promptly to address patients' needs, providing timely support and assistance
  • Transport patients safely in wheelchairs or stretchers, prioritizing their safety and well-being

This is a permanent position with English as the primary work language. The work hours range from 32 to 35 hours per week, providing a stable and fulfilling opportunity for the right candidate.
