Manufacturing Systems Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of shop floor machinery, along with the operation, support, troubleshooting, and standardization of the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a critical 24/7 production environment. Provide IT support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across all Plasman facilities, ensuring production support and maintenance, including after-hours and weekend assistance as needed. Serve as the primary support for MES workstations and barcode printing/scanning devices across various Plasman locations. Manage the commissioning, setup, configuration, and deployment of hardware and software for MES initiatives and product launches. Conduct proactive and preventative maintenance on MES equipment, including PCs, networking devices, barcode printers, scanners, and other related tools. Troubleshoot and resolve MES and IT-related helpdesk inquiries. Maintain an adequate inventory of equipment to ensure production readiness. Safeguard the security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Foster a collaborative team environment at all times. Uphold a clean and safe workplace consistently. Ensure that each department has the necessary resources, including training, safety protocols, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and relevant tools.Required Skills:
Post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience in IT or manufacturing settings. 1-3 years of experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or IT systems. Familiarity with barcode/label printers and scanners. Proficiencies in MS SQL, .NET, PMP, SCRUM, etc. Relevant experience or certifications in MES, manufacturing operations management (MOM), SCADA, and MRP/ERP systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
