About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a prior history of owning all aspects of payroll processes, including payroll accounting and compliance, in a dynamic fast-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities- Full ownership of payroll processes and payroll accounting
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations and tax filing requirements
- Full ownership of the payroll accounting for all payroll and payroll-related accounts
- Accurate payroll processing of employee pay, deductions, taxes, and one-time payments (bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, etc)
- Serve as a main point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries, issues, and new initiatives
- 7+ years of payroll management experience
- Proficient with multistate and global payroll processes
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Proficiency with Workday and ADP
- Experience maintaining regulatory compliance, process documentation, and payroll policies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and levels throughout the company
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with a big-picture strategic understanding
- Ability to manage ambiguity, and multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
- Hands-on, "Roll-up the sleeves" approach to accomplishing all necessary tasks
- Experience in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

- WFH Stipend - An initial $675 CAD(Non-engineers) or $1000 CAD (Engineering roles)

- Connectivity Stipend - Up to $100 CAD / month towards internet or phone
- Medical, Dental, and Vision - Aurora will cover 100% of premiums for employee-only and dependent coverage of our supplemental medical, dental, and vision plans
