We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Service Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical practices and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical practices and processes to improve patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, IT staff, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize quality improvement initiatives
- Provide oversight and facilitation of quality improvement changes, including data analysis and reporting
- Serve as a liaison and change agent for clinical care areas, departments, and units
- Develop and maintain relationships with clinical educators, end-users, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Travel to Northern Health facilities as required to support quality improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare discipline
- Relevant professional development in process improvement, change management, IT, project management, group facilitation, and coaching
- Five to seven years of experience in front-line clinical care and related experience working in clinical operations and EMR use
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to guide, coach, teach, and promote a learning environment and continuous quality improvement
- Ability to take a 'can-do' approach to resolving issues and working with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to apply change management and transformation techniques and practices
- Strong documentation skills and demonstrated ability to develop detailed clinical or technical documentation, training aids, and how-to documents
- Intermediate computer skills and ability to work comfortably with spreadsheets, presentations, diagramming, and word processing software
- Ability to foster innovation throughout complex evolutionary change
- Ability to see connections between issues, events, and data points and to think clearly around complex systems
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage diverse groups and individuals, working in stressful clinical situations, through change initiatives and resolve issues arising throughout the process
- Superior small and large group facilitation skills and individual coaching skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to foster collaborative partnerships using a team approach
- High level of motivation with a positive attitude and high degree of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong organizational skills and experience in project management; ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
