Program Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Service Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in improving clinical practices, processes, and documentation to enable effective and efficient care in our departments.
About the RoleThe Program Service Specialist will be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and continually improving clinical practices, processes, documentation, reporting, and clinical data/information to enable effective and efficient care in Northern Health (NH) departments. This role will also involve providing oversight and facilitating quality improvement changes in collaboration with clinical leaders, Information and Technology Services (ITS), clinical managers and directors, physicians, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Research and develop clinical practices, processes, and documentation to improve patient care and outcomes
- Implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical care and services
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, ITS, and other stakeholders to develop and implement clinical data/information systems
- Provide oversight and facilitate quality improvement changes to ensure effective and efficient care
- Develop and maintain clinical documentation and reporting systems to support quality improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare discipline
- Relevant professional development in process improvement, change management, information technology/information management, project management, group facilitation, and coaching
- Five to seven years of experience in front-line clinical care and related experience working in clinical operations EMR use
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
