Jardeg is seeking qualified Journeyperson Instrumentation Technicians for various project sites across Alberta. This serves as an expression of interest for upcoming opportunities within our Maintenance and Turnaround division.

Available roles may include fly-in/fly-out, drive-in/drive-out, and local positions, which depending on the project scope may offer camp accommodations, living out allowances, or other travel incentives. We frequently hire for both long-term and short-term roles, providing flexibility to meet your needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and calibrate valves, switches, and measurement devices.
  • Utilize a range of pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing instruments to measure and control variables.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in tube bending using various sizes of tube benders.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Instrumentation and Controls Technician (I&C/I&E) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician, ideally in a heavy industrial or construction environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques relevant to Instrumentation work.
  • Strong adherence to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently as needed.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with team members and project stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09 certification.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
  • Background check may be required based on project scope.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerial Work Platform certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • WHMIS certification.
