About the Role:
CA42 Archibald Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and ensuring that all logistics activities are carried out in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with corporate and local health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, as well as operational procedures.
- Recruit, train, manage, develop, evaluate, and provide feedback to employees.
- Conduct weekly and team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Supervise and coordinate activities related to loading and unloading trucks, receiving shipments, preparing pallets, and delivering products to customers, as well as controlling inventory.
- Monitor performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions to achieve objectives.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Coordinate transportation and warehousing capacity based on current and future demands.
- Implement and ensure the proper use of VPO (corporate management policies) tools and standards.
- Coordinate and supervise all activities related to the warehouse and support activities of other departments.
- Ensure excellent customer service from the logistics team to internal and external customers.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory management of materials and finished products and adherence to end-of-month standards.
- Manage cleanliness of facilities and 5S of storage areas.
- Ensure team cohesion and engagement and promote an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of basic budgeting principles.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, logistics management platforms).
- Strong relational skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to extract, evaluate, and use data to improve applicable process systems.
- Good judgment and ability to react well under pressure.
- Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changes.
- Willingness and ability to learn – demonstrate daily analytical thinking and participate in problem-solving with the team.
- Leadership experience, an asset.
- Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role and resource coordination, an asset.
- Pertinent experience in employee management in a unionized environment, an asset.
