About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Instrumentation Field Service Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on providing exceptional service for our clients in the oil and gas industry, specializing in control valves and regulator products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site field service support to our valued customers, ensuring their instrumentation systems operate efficiently.
  • Commission and start up new Control/Regulator products, meeting customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise to the sales team, offering both phone and on-site support to address customer inquiries and challenges.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with a variety of control products and regulators, ensuring prompt and effective repairs.
  • Offer telephone support to customers regarding Control and Regulator Instrumentation, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Manage in-house and factory repairs of products when not on site, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Be prepared for extended work hours during peak seasons like spring and fall shutdowns, demonstrating commitment to client needs.
  • Operate both forklifts and cranes safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Participate in a 7/24 on-call rotation, ensuring prompt response to urgent customer requests.

Your Qualifications

  • Possess a Diploma from a 2-year Technologist Instrumentation course or a Journeyman / Journeywoman / Journeyperson Instrument Certificate.
  • Have previous experience in instrumentation field service or depot work, particularly with control valves and regulators.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer applications and software relevant to the role.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction.
  • Display strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Be able to produce accurate and detailed documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an entrepreneurial work ethic, taking initiative and seeking solutions.
  • Be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Hold a valid Alberta driver's license with a safe driving record and be willing to travel as required.
  • This position is considered safety-sensitive, requiring successful completion of a pre-employment Alcohol & Drug test.
