Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Government Affairs, Canada to join our team at Air Line Pilots Association, Int'l. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective government relations strategies to advance the interests of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders, including Members of Parliament and government officials
- Monitor and analyze government policies and regulations affecting our industry
- Advocate for our organization's interests through lobbying and other means
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective government relations strategies
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on government relations activities and outcomes
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective government relations strategies
- Strong knowledge of government policies and regulations affecting our industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
