Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at East India Company Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Special Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure a high level of presentation and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
