Job Title: Respiratory Therapist I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist I to join our team at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary and Rehabilitative Services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general therapeutics and pulmonary function testing, including ABG procurement and analysis
  • Deliver critical and emergency care, including airway management and mechanical ventilation (neonatal through adult)
  • Participate in air and ground transports and serve as a cardiac arrest team member
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote person-and family-centered care and improve worker and patient safety

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Current license with the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals
  • Registered member of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists in good standing
  • Successful completion of ACLS, NRP, and PALS or willingness to complete within 6 months of employment

Working Conditions:

This is a temporary full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly, including standby and shift work. The successful candidate must be willing to work within 10KM of Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is CG-34 ($31.78-$35.40) plus applicable market differential. Central Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
