Respiratory Therapist I

Respiratory Therapist I position available at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls Windsor, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General therapeutics and pulmonary function testing, including ABG procurement and analysis
  • Critical and emergency care, including airway management and mechanical ventilation (neonatal through adult)
  • Air and ground transports
  • Cardiac arrest team member

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Current license with the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals
  • Registered member of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists in good standing
  • Successful completion of ACLS, NRP, and PALS or willingness to complete within 6 months of employment
  • Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)
  • Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
  • Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Working Conditions:

  • 75 hours bi-weekly (Standby and Shift Work Required)
  • CG-34 salary range ($31.78-$35.40)
