Job Summary

Sabwa Foods Product and Packaging Inc. is seeking a skilled Bakery Labourer to join our team in a fast-paced bakery environment. As a Bakery Labourer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality baked goods while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety and handling skills to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and feed and unload processing machines to optimize production efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and report any issues to the production team.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Work Environment: The work site environment is cold/refrigerated and wet/damp.
  • Work Setting: The work setting is a bakery.
  • Physical Demands: The job requires standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and physical demands such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: The job requires lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
