About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to food safety and handling procedures
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Implement and maintain high standards of food safety and quality control
    • Conduct regular kitchen audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional dining experiences
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a senior chef or culinary manager
    • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
