Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structural design and technical support, including calculations for concrete, structural steel, and connection design, along with design drawing reviews and field investigations.
- Draft specifications, contract documents, and proposals.
- Oversee project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Lead and coordinate an engineering/design team in developing structural and building finishes from conceptual to detailed design.
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to issuance.
- Foster and maintain positive client relationships.
- Collaborate with project managers and other discipline leads.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise to the project team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design.
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) registration in Saskatchewan.
- Extensive knowledge of structural design principles and familiarity with industry codes and construction methods.
- Experience in material design, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or wood.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in mining or heavy industrial projects is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Proven decision-making and collaborative abilities.
- Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship is required.
