Position Title: Park Conservation Officer
At Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq), we are committed to safeguarding and enhancing our natural landscapes for the enjoyment of everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protect our natural environments for the benefit of visitors.
- Survey the national park to deter unlawful activities.
- Ensure visitor safety and adherence to wildlife conservation regulations.
- Engage in educational initiatives by responding to visitor inquiries and occasionally leading interpretive programs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of park resources through data collection and assessments.
- Address emergencies and provide assistance as needed.
- Conduct maintenance tasks on sites, equipment, facilities, and trails.
Qualifications:
- Self-sufficiency, initiative, and familiarity with the natural environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent with four seasons of relevant experience OR a vocational diploma in a related field with two seasons of experience.
