Kinesiologist - Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Summary:
Lifemark Physiotherapy is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Kinesiologist to join our team at the Orleans clinic. As a Kinesiologist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals through evidence-based exercise programs and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop personalized exercise programs.
- Design and implement graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs to help patients return to work or improve their overall health.
- Teach exercise classes to seniors and other patients to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Perform biweekly reassessments of patient progress through functional testing and adjust exercise programs as needed.
- Record functional and subjective findings in patient charts and work collaboratively with patients to set and achieve functional goals.
- Conduct group orientation and education lectures to educate patients on healthy lifestyle habits and exercise techniques.
- Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge.
- Ensure return to work plans with clients and employers have been made and documented in the patient chart.
Requirements:
- Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
- Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program.
- New licensed grad may apply.
- Preferably with 1-5 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation is considered an asset.
