Job Opportunity at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a variety of healthcare settings
  • Ensure accurate and efficient sample collection and processing
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on laboratory procedures and best practices
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician Certification from Ontario Society of Medical Technology (OSMT) required
  • Minimum one (1) year recent laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology essential
  • General knowledge of all areas of the laboratory preferred
  • Working knowledge of OLA requirements preferred
  • Previous data entry/computer experience essential
  • Meditech and LIS knowledge and experience an asset

As a Regional Health Centre, our operations run 24/7, and we require our staff to be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
