About the Role
The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a key member of our facilities team, responsible for leading a team of maintenance mechanics and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Lead and train maintenance team members to develop their skills and expand team capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex maintenance issues and improve overall facility operations.
- Manage budgets and vendors to ensure cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or facilities management.
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance or facilities operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) programs.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
Physical Demands
- Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods and walk extensively throughout the facility during shift.
- Requires repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Requires lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 49 pounds.
