Maintenance Planner

Cosma International is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maximizing operating profit through planned maintenance activities and ensuring equipment operational availability. You will analyze data to identify areas for improvement, schedule and track preventative maintenance, and evaluate the effectiveness of our maintenance programs.
Your Responsibilities- Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering to identify areas for improvement.
- Establish, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.
- Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work and work with production scheduling to schedule downtime.
- Monitor PM completeness and schedule/reschedule accordingly to achieve 100% completion.
- Purchase all necessary parts, equipment, services, and documentation to perform maintenance work.
- At least quarterly review of completed PMs and inventory to reduce inventory while ensuring the right parts are available when needed.
- Write applicable maintenance procedures to promote defect-free maintenance work quality.
- Responsible for the CMS/E-Maintenance CMMS work order database and data integrity.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators are documented and reported for maintenance department performances, equipment reliability, maintenance department planning, and budgeting.
- Coordinates and plans work orders for internal operations and identifies material for purchase/requisition.
- Highly analytical in nature, able to interpret, manipulate, and present data using exceptional computer skills.
- Solid foundation and understanding of equipment reliability concepts.
- Basic understanding of engineering practices, functions, and calculations.
- Ability to read/interpret drawings.
- Practical knowledge of risk management strategies and practices related to plant and equipment.
- Ability to work in conjunction with skilled trades persons.
- Ability to interpret preventative maintenance feedback and use this feedback to develop and implement action plans.
- Previous leadership experience is an asset.
- Certificate of Qualification in a designated skilled trade and/or completion of post-secondary education related to engineering or mechanical technology.
- 3-5 years of automotive assembly experience is an asset.
- Prior planning and scheduling experience combined with excellent organizational skills.
